Description

Flavorful, easy‑to‑make boneless, skinless chicken breasts baked in a sweet and savory brown sugar garlic sauce—ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3‑4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Olive oil (to brush on chicken)
  • Salt and pepper (to season chicken)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp salt (for sauce)
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper (for sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 °F (205 °C). Spray a baking dish with non‑stick cooking spray.
  2. Brush olive oil on both sides of the chicken breasts; season each side with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together ¼ cup brown sugar, 1 Tbsp water, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp dried thyme, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp ground black pepper.
  4. Place the chicken in the baking dish and pour the brown sugar garlic sauce over the top.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165 °F).
  6. Remove from oven and drizzle any pan sauce over the chicken before serving. Let it rest a few minutes for juicier texture.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165 °F for safety and juiciness.
  • Let the chicken rest briefly after baking to help redistribute juices.
  • The pan sauce is delicious drizzled over rice, pasta, or vegetables.
