Description

This Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza combines a biscuit crust with creamy sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and melted cheese for a comforting Southern-inspired breakfast dish perfect for brunch or busy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or equivalent homemade biscuit dough
  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil (for scrambling eggs)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: chopped green onions or hot sauce.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
  2. Roll out the biscuit dough into a large circle or rectangle to fit the pan and press it evenly to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 8–10 minutes until it starts to turn golden.
  4. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
  5. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. In a separate pan, scramble the eggs in butter or oil until just set.
  7. Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the partially baked crust.
  8. Layer the scrambled eggs on top and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Return to the oven and bake for another 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is fully cooked.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing. Add optional toppings as desired.

Notes

  • Partially baking the crust helps prevent sogginess.
  • You can prepare the sausage gravy and eggs ahead of time.
  • Use vegetarian sausage or extra veggies for a meat-free version.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze individually.
  • For best texture, reheat in an oven or toaster oven instead of the microwave.
