Description

Soft and chewy Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookies that combine the rich flavor of banana bread with the texture and sweetness of classic chocolate chip cookies.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 medium banana)
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and mashed banana to the bowl and mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
