Ingredients
Pastry
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Cheese & Toppings
- 4 oz brie cheese, cut into 12 cubes
- ½ cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tbsp candied pecans, chopped (optional)
- Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a mini muffin tin to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Pastry Cups: Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet and cut it into 12 equal squares. Gently press each square into the individual cups of the muffin tin, forming small pastry cups.
- Assemble Bites: Place one cube of brie cheese into each pastry cup. Spoon about a tablespoon of cranberry sauce on top of the brie, then sprinkle with chopped candied pecans if using for added crunch and flavor.
- Bake: Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the brie is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Allow the cranberry brie bites to cool for 5 minutes before removing from the tin. Garnish each bite with a small sprig of fresh rosemary for a festive and aromatic finishing touch. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use store-bought or homemade cranberry sauce depending on your preference.
- Candied pecans add a nice crunch but can be omitted for a nut-free version.
- Make sure to thaw puff pastry completely for easy handling and better texture.
- These bites are best served warm but can be reheated briefly in the oven.
- For a vegetarian option, ensure the brie is suitable or substitute with a vegetarian cheese.
