Description

Delightfully easy and elegant, these Baked Cranberry Brie Bites combine flaky puff pastry with melty brie cheese and tart cranberry sauce, topped with optional candied pecans and rosemary for a festive touch. Perfect for holiday parties or an impressive appetizer any time of year.

Ingredients

Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

Cheese & Toppings

  • 4 oz brie cheese, cut into 12 cubes
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp candied pecans, chopped (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a mini muffin tin to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Pastry Cups: Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet and cut it into 12 equal squares. Gently press each square into the individual cups of the muffin tin, forming small pastry cups.
  3. Assemble Bites: Place one cube of brie cheese into each pastry cup. Spoon about a tablespoon of cranberry sauce on top of the brie, then sprinkle with chopped candied pecans if using for added crunch and flavor.
  4. Bake: Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the brie is melted and bubbly.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Allow the cranberry brie bites to cool for 5 minutes before removing from the tin. Garnish each bite with a small sprig of fresh rosemary for a festive and aromatic finishing touch. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use store-bought or homemade cranberry sauce depending on your preference.
  • Candied pecans add a nice crunch but can be omitted for a nut-free version.
  • Make sure to thaw puff pastry completely for easy handling and better texture.
  • These bites are best served warm but can be reheated briefly in the oven.
  • For a vegetarian option, ensure the brie is suitable or substitute with a vegetarian cheese.
