Description

Air fryer corn ribs are a fun and flavorful twist on traditional corn on the cob, seasoned with a buttery spice blend and cooked until charred and curled into rib-like shapes.

Ingredients

  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste (optional)
  • Fresh herbs like parsley or basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Remove husks and silks from corn, then cut off ends for flat surfaces.
  2. Microwave corn for 2 minutes to soften, then let cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Carefully cut each ear lengthwise into quarters to create rib-like strips.
  4. Mix softened butter with paprika and garlic powder in a bowl.
  5. Brush butter mixture evenly over all sides of the corn ribs.
  6. Place ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Air fry at 400°F (204°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Serve hot, optionally garnished with herbs and accompanied by dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Microwaving helps soften corn for safer cutting.
  • Use a sharp knife and stable surface to slice the corn.
  • Customize seasoning to taste, such as adding chili or jerk seasoning.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the air fryer or microwave.
