Description

Crispy and golden brown air fryer banana peppers make a quick and easy snack or appetizer, perfect for dipping or topping salads and pizzas.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 pound fresh banana peppers or sweet peppers, sliced and seeds removed
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and sea salt.
  2. Dip the sliced banana peppers into the seasoned flour, ensuring they’re well-coated. Let them sit for 5 minutes to help the coating adhere.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Place the coated banana peppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray with olive oil on both sides.
  5. Air fry for 8 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with paper towels to remove excess oil. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Letting the coated peppers rest before air frying helps the coating stick better.
  • Try using mini bell peppers for a milder flavor.
  • Great with ranch dressing, spicy mayo, or garlic aioli.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top before air frying for extra flavor.
