Description

These festive 4th of July cookies are made from a vanilla cake mix and require just 4 main ingredients for the dough. They’re dipped in red, white, and blue melting chocolate and topped with patriotic sprinkles—perfect for last-minute celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla or white cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup red melting chocolate
  • 1/2 cup white melting chocolate
  • 1/2 cup blue melting chocolate
  • 1/4 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla until a soft dough forms.
  2. Chill dough for 20 minutes for easier handling.
  3. Scoop 1–1½″ balls onto a parchment-lined sheet and bake at 350 °F for 8–10 minutes; don’t overbake.
  4. Cool cookies completely on a wire rack.
  5. Dip each cookie halfway into melted colored chocolates.
  6. Immediately sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  7. Let cookies firm up at room temperature before serving.
