Description

Quick and easy 20-minute homemade bread with no yeast required. Soft, golden, and perfect for any meal or snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the milk and melted butter (or olive oil) to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the bread cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Add herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor.
  • Substitute whole wheat flour for a healthier version.
  • Use a gluten-free all-purpose flour blend to make it gluten-free.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat in microwave for 10 seconds or oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
