Description

A rich and creamy caramel fudge that melts in your mouth, perfect for gifting or satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, cream, butter, corn syrup, and salt.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches 240°F (115°C) on a candy thermometer (soft-ball stage).
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract and beat the mixture with a wooden spoon until it thickens and loses its gloss.
  7. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Allow to cool completely at room temperature, then cut into small squares.

Notes

  • Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  • For a salted caramel twist, sprinkle sea salt on top before cooling.
  • Use a candy thermometer for best results to ensure proper texture.
