Description

A quick and delicious 5-minute bruschetta dip featuring a creamy blend of cream cheese and feta topped with fresh tomato and basil, perfect for serving with warm crusty baguette.

Ingredients

Cheese Base

  • 300 g cream cheese
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Tomato Basil Topping

  • 250 g cherry tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 5 g fresh basil, finely sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Assembly

  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Warm crusty baguette, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cheese Base: In a food processor, combine cream cheese, feta, lemon zest, 3 tablespoons olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Blend Mixture: Process until smooth and creamy, then taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  3. Make Tomato Basil Topping: In a bowl, mix chopped cherry tomatoes, 2 tablespoons olive oil, minced garlic, sliced basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine flavors.
  4. Assemble Dip: Spread the whipped cream cheese and feta mixture onto the base of a serving plate evenly.
  5. Add Topping and Serve: Spoon the tomato basil mixture over the cheese base, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and serve immediately with warm crusty baguette for dipping.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe cherry tomatoes for best flavor.
  • Adjust garlic quantity according to your preference for pungency.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy freshness; refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container.
  • For a tangier flavor, add extra lemon zest or a splash of lemon juice.
  • This dip also works well as a sandwich spread or topping for grilled meats.
